How it works
- 01
Spot it
A flier on a pole, a café wall or the board by the N-Judah stop. A neighbor snaps a photo, a few fliers at a time.
- 02
We read it
Every flier is cropped and transcribed word for word, and the details (tickets, venue, the year it left off) are checked online.
- 03
You find it
It lands on the calendar and in its section, searchable by anything printed on it. Add it to your calendar in one tap.
Where we look
Golden Gate Park south to the Zoo, Stonestown and Lake Merced: the Inner Sunset, the Outer Sunset and Parkside, and Lakeshore.
Dots are the venues on the boards right now.
Get involved
Snap a board
Pass a bulletin board? Take a photo with four to six fliers in it and send it in. It takes about 30 seconds, and no account is needed.
Put it on your calendar
Subscribe once and new events show up in Apple or Google Calendar by themselves. Or pick just one section, like music.
Organizers
Post your flier on a Sunset board and it’ll find its way here. Something wrong, or want it taken down? Let us know.
Put Sunset Board on your home screen
Next time you pass a board, it’s one tap away. In Safari, tap Share (on newer iPhones it’s inside the ••• menu), then Add to Home Screen.
